Sailing in Style: Chopard Watches and SeaNet Yachts Event at Lido Isle
Under the golden glow of the California sun, Newport Beach’s Lido Isle recently hosted an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blended luxury and craftsmanship. Guests were treated to an afternoon aboard stunning yachts, an ocean cruise, exquisite hors d'oeuvres, and the company of like-minded enthusiasts, all while enjoying a showcase of Chopard’s finest timepieces.
Setting Sail with SeaNet Yachts
The event, graciously co-hosted by SeaNet Yachts and Chopard Watches, took place on their breathtaking SolarisPower and Absolute Yachts. These yachts, known for their elegance and innovation, featured new glazed parapets and balustrades, offering unobstructed views from both the flybridge and aft cockpit. The design highlights included a versatile cockpit space that can be furnished to suit the owner’s desires and easy access to the large swim platform, perfect for enjoying the pristine waters of Newport Beach. The crew, along with concierge services, ensured a seamless and luxurious experience for all aboard.
Chopard’s Masterpieces on Display
The true stars of the afternoon, however, were the exquisite timepieces from Chopard, presented by Anne Lee from the flagship South Coast Plaza boutique. Among the highlights was the remarkable L.U.C Triple Certification Tourbillon, a piece that exemplifies the pinnacle of horological excellence.
This extraordinary watch, part of Chopard’s esteemed L.U.C collection, boasts an 18ct rose gold case with a 43mm diameter. At its heart is the mechanical hand-wound L.U.C 1.02 QF tourbillon movement, a marvel of engineering with an impressive 216-hour power reserve, powered by Chopard’s innovative 4-barrel Quattro® technology. What sets this timepiece apart is its triple certification—the only watch on the market to have achieved the COSC certification, the Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark, and the Qualité Fleurier certification simultaneously.
The watch’s silver-grained dial is elegantly adorned with the Poinçon de Genève logo, marking the first time the Geneva Seal organization has allowed its emblem to be featured on a watch dial. This, combined with the Côtes de Genève adorned bridges and the hand-sewn glossy brown alligator leather strap lined with cognac alligator leather, makes the L.U.C Triple Certification Tourbillon not just a timepiece, but a work of art.
The event was not only a showcase of Chopard’s finest but also a celebration of the luxurious lifestyle that Newport Beach embodies. Guests engaged in lively conversations, shared a passion for fine watches, and basked in the exceptional hospitality of SeaNet Yachts.
We left with a renewed appreciation for the intricate craftsmanship of Chopard and the luxurious allure of yachting. This event was a perfect blend of elegance and sophistication, and we extend our special thanks to Anne Lee, SeaNet Yachts, and Chopard Watches for making it all possible.
